W211 rust

Any thoughts on how to keep rust to a minimum on a 06 E class car? Seems like the old days of Chevy's & Fords. Rust mostly in doors. Yes, no plugs in door drains below.

You list an E550 and question MY06 – as a matter of reference factory warranty (48 months/50000 miles, whichever comes first) covers repair/replacement if rust penetrates a body panel however, does not cover damage caused by vehicle accidents, owner negligence, or misuse.

The MB rust-through warranty is only 4 years?

I hope you are kidding as that is patheticly short.

Everyone goes much longer than that.

Important warning, if true.
