Who on this board has prepaid for the navigation system in advance and will have the dealership install it when it becomes available.......

2. I sure hope it will be installed
3. I may ask them to buy back the car and wait until it becomes available in a later model year.

2. I hope so, although it sure looks like it ain't happening anytime soon.
3. At this price point, the Navi really should be standard, and I would not do without it. A buy-back by the dealership would be an expensive (for MBUSA) but appropriate option. A buy-back would also work out for me, since I have an E55 on order, and am in the top-ten pre-order list. I have no idea what my exact slot number is...

You may ( or may not) be able to negotiate a buy back arrangement with your local dealer, but there is no way MBUSA is going to buy back all of these cars. It just isn't going to happen. It would be unprecedented as far as I know.
