Need Help - Can I jumpstart my car?

Hi,
I am new here. Hope I can get some help. I owned a 2003 w211 and this morning the battery was flat again. The first time it happened was 3 months ago and since then I have replaced the main (big) battery. No problem since then.
This morning it happened again (I left the car about 48 hours) in my parking bay. I have looked through the forum threads and basically understands why.. but now I need to get the car out of the parking garage. It's on the fifth floor of my apartment building and it wll be expensive.

Can I jump start the car? If yes, how do I do it?

Thanks. Appreciate all the assistance.
Tan.

Can't you attach a charger to the car for a while?

You can jump-start it but you have to be careful. Switch off the car providing help when you connect the cables (to the trunk). If your jump start cables are not sufficient to start the car when the other one is not running, let it run for a while and then switch off and start your car. The idea is to try to avoid current spikes when cables are attached/detached.

In the US we have MB Road Service for the car as long as we own it, do you? They can get it started safely & quickly & then "normalize" whatever is out of sync as a result of having no power.

The best recommandation from ALLDATAdiy.com is to pull the battery and charge it. This eliminates the possibility of harming any sensitive circuits and causing more problems. It shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to pull it out and put the battery back in your w211.
