my car sounds like a train slowing down

i'll admit i AM a very aggressive driver, but i cant get rid of my *** brake noise it's so annoying - they're brand new too about 4 months and it was sitting in the garage all summer for 2..... so their 2 months used... i drive in the city everyday and highway commuter everysingle day, but it wont STOP! ill take a video if you guys want, but i'm pretty sure you guys know the noise, is there anyway to stop it, i've stopped for a week with brake cleaner and lube, but it comes all back again... mercedes said its their brake system.... BS... my dad's S550 does it too and he doesnt drive NEARLY the way i drive... any help?

Same problem here, I feel embarassd when it happens. A brand new 09 E-Class sounds like an old hooptie when I hit the brakes.

I replaced the brake pads with Porterfield pads before the car had 600 miles on it, just to eliminate the awful brake dust. I never heard any unusual noise before the switch or after. With the Porterfields, there is virtually zero brake dust, and no noise. You might want to fix both problems and just switch your pads. You'll be amazed at the difference in brake dust.

I had the same brake noise too but it was solved when I have my mechanic apply ceramic (purple) brake paste (it cost about $8 for the pack) to the calipers and all I can say is problem solved!

i added the exact paste as well, but after a while (and with new yorks rough weather, it comes all back again) any pads that are good quality b.c. mercedes brakes are unbeatable in quality (for the job... not the noise)

Did the pack come with instruction on exactly where to apply? I want to get this fixed ASAP becuase I like when people heads turn when i drive by, but not because they heard my brakes squeal.

MBUSA covers brakes (pad and/or rotor replacement, i.e. squeal), wheel alignment, and road force wheel/tire balancing under warranty for the first 12 months/12000 whichever comes first.

If past this period mention DTB P-B-42.10/79 for coverage under initial factory warranty 48 months/50000 miles (pads must not be more than 50% worn), PM your email address if you want a copy.

So is this something that needs to be replaced or is it just MB brakes. I was getting the impression that they were all like this because of the brake dust.

No instructions, although any competent mechanic will know how to apply it properly to the back of the brake pad and caliper so I wouldn't worry about your mech not knowing what to do. Just toss him the grease pack and he will know what to do with it.
