Who have reserved or paid in advance for 2004 E500
Ok, See i need some help i want to know how did you guys pay in advance for your 2004 E500? Since the MRSP or the price is not disclosed yet.. and the when will you get delivery??? I mean how does the dealer come to a price since the MRSP isn;t out yet... I have seen many of even have added features such as Distoric, DVD Comand II, Parnorma roof, Keyless Go, Sports Package, Solar Pannel and most Important off all 4-Matic (4 wheel drive.) People who have paid or their dealer has told an estimate with all these options plz help by telling your estimate if your dealer has told you.. and it will help if you told your estimate wilth your options on E00 2004 model.

I have a deposit on an '04 E500 4Matic. There is no info yet on pricing, available options, or delivery time. Best guess I've heard from dealer is mid autumn of this year.

I put a deposit on the 2003 E320 in early June of 2002, before the price was determined let alone color or options. Once the dealer has your money, you lose all negotiating power and you are at their mercy. Eight months later, after an amazingly awful experience and still no car, I telephoned a different dealer and just bought the car I wanted (and I negotiated the price over the telephone before I ever set foot in the dealership).
I will never again put a deposit down on a car!!! By the way, I JUST got my deposit money back from the first dealer!!!!

Wow, this has never been a problem for me. As long as I cancel my order before it goes into production, I've always gotten my deposit back (usually $1000). Maybe its my relationship with my MB dealer, but I can't understand why anyone would not return your mney if the car is not even in production.

No one pays for a car in full in advance. You place an order based on the information they have now. The dealers only require a deposit, usually $1,000. It is unlikely that you will get a discount on a ordered car. You can settle and take one off the lot when they arrive or you can order one to your specifications and wait a couple months. Have you talked to a Mercedes salesman? If they (salesman) don't know the price how would 'we' consumers know?
If you can afford a 2003 E500 you should be able to afford the 2004 E500 plain and simple. When the DVD Comand is available it will be probably be around $2500.

Put my name on the list for a 2004 E500 4MATIC in January. No deposit was needed (not that I would have given them one). "Delivery" date was estimated from between June to October. I think they were actually talking about production dates. Hopefully, the Nav system will be available by then. Otherwise, I'll just let the order slide until it is available.
