Help! Can't Install New Shock
I just purchased an Arnott Shock for my 2003 E500. I took out the old front driver side shock but can't get the new one in. Need about 2 inches of space to get it in. I didn't realize the old one was conpressed so it came out little easier but the new one is not compressed. Help!

OMFG thank you!
Thanks for posting the tread I think many forum readers will appreciate it because I do! I broke down and went to an indy to have them install it. But for future references this is a good thread for me to go back to when I feel adventurous again.

also ck. out the AMG W211 forum. They are more DIY than here, and your E500 has a similar air matic suspension and other components as those folks too.
