iPod Install?
I been searching 24/7 for a install guide for W211 iPod.....I need pictures cause without them I will **** up the car haha......DIY link is much appreciated!
Which IPOD System are you installing? The MB Factory or After Market like Dension?
I have both the MB Factory and the Dension Gateway 500. I do not have
Installation pics for the Dension but I do have a PDF file with the details on how to install the MB one.

Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will e-mail you the file. I tried to add it here but it is 16MB and it gave me errors when trying to upload it.
Let me know if you have a Sedan or Wagon because there are different files for each.
One thing you have to do is to get the STAR Coded as if your car had the Phone system added. I did not have to do that because I already had the Phone configured (Puck and Base). You have to do this so that the Steering Wheel buttons will work with accessing the IPOD Menu options.
Get ready cause is not that easy. You have to take things apart like removing the back seat, moldings on the passenger side etc. You have to do this to run the wires that came on the MB IPOD System from the trunk all the way to the front. Also deal with more delicate things like removing wires from connectors to then replace them with the ones from the MD IPOD System. You will see it all on the PDF file. I printed the whole thing in my office cause it was a bunch of pages.
Not sure where you live but if you live in NJ, let me know, I could help you out.

Like I said on the e-mail, no payment needed, Although I just took my car today for service to Princeton Mercedes and they are going to RAPE me
But it's cool I shop at Costo and I have one of those HUGE Vaseline Jars.
Just glad to help a fellow MB Owner.

Nothing MB related (sorry)
Ravi, the MB iPod kit works through CANBUS, not through the MOST fiber ring. Which is why you will only be able to control it from the steering wheel.
