How to reset comfort settings disabled?
Hi,
could someone tell me how to reset the CI Display with the warning "Battery protection, comfort functions temporarily switched off"? I left the light on yesterday evening for about 4 hours. I drove home then for about 30 minutes a few things came back on such as the cigarette lighter and such. I checked voltage on the battery (12.3V) through my CI Display but the message didn't go away.

My understanding is that it is supposed to go away on its own once the voltage goes up. If you were reading 12.3 V when the engine was running, it is still too low for the accessories to turn back on. I don’t think that there should be below 13.6 V in the system when the engine is running. You might have a short circuit in your battery (one of the two) that is preventing the system from fully charging it. Or. . . you might have a problem in the charging system of the car.
Tell us what it is in the end, but I the system resets itself once voltage levels are restored (this is my understanding).

I checked with engine off that's perhaps why the reading was 12.3V not higher. I'm sure the battery is just still to low and not the alternator or some other circuits. I was just wondering if I could reset it but if it is suppose to go away by itself then I just do some stuff in the afternoon and drive there and charge the battery more!

It might be that one or both of your batteries are at the end of their lifespan. The dealer should diagnose this free of charge if you get a battery from them.
On a side note. .. I’m an alumnus of RWTH Aachen. . . I have spent some great years of my life in Germany!
