crankshaft positions sensor

Hey all,


I have a 2003 E320 98,000 miles. I have a check engine light with the code P0335 (crankshaft positions sensor) has anyone changed it themselves or do I have to take it to the dealer?

Ten minute DIY job. $60 for the Bosch OEM part.

That link is for a CAMSHAFT sensor, that would be the incorrect part!!!!

Rear of engine, driver’s side you will need to remove engine cover

hey nyclad. which sensor did you buy and change cause i have the same problem. did you buy the camshaft or crankshaft sensor. i have the error code P0335 and reading some say to use the camshaft sensor and some say change the crankshaft sensor. which one you change that solve your problem. thanks in advance
