17" v. 18" wheel
Tire shop informs me that one of my 17" wheels is bent and front tires need to be replaced (haven't been rotating like I was supposed to). So, I am now considering putting the dual spoke 18" AMG wheels on my sport version 03 E320. Been reading 18" threads discussing "wheel insurance" and risks of blowouts over potholes.
Question: Is converting from 17" to 18" worth the benefits/risks/costs? Also, any thoughts regarding ride/performance?

They're shops that can repair bent wheels, for less than the cost of a brand new replacement. The only difference on 17" vs 18" is that on 17", you'll have more tire to protect the rim, which in turn means a smoother ride on 17"'s. I went from 17" to 19" with a low profile tire, and although the ride became a little harsh, the car looked 10x better

Consider what it does to your cornering by laying out the Center of Gravity vs the projected Center of Balance, and see if you need to mod the suspension.
Rabbit's pull off the hat may require to clean their poopoo afterwards. The act has to be complete to satisfy 100%. No wander AMGs cost that much more.
