Anyone have an idea on how I can get my hands on this SERVICE CD W211 589 13 22 00 ?
Called another dealership this morning claimed that this part isn’t even in the warehouse, and that there isn’t a dealership in the country that can get it for me.

I would post at the UK forum (e.g. MBClubUK), a few members have the CD there, perhaps they would let you have a copy. I think a copy would be fine in this case because MB anyway does not make money out of these and since it is a Euro update CD, I've understood US dealers would have difficulties selling the part.

Not sure why they say so, in Europe dealers are not supposed to sell tools (W-parts) but in UK they used to sell these.

W211 589 13 22 00 (SW: 21.090, 30/06) is the latest Euro Comand update. You will lose DVD in motion, and you will not be able to enter destinations while in motion. Went to the dealer to get other work done and asked SA if he could enable the above, said he could not, something about liability issues.
Anyway, picked up the car and found that my DVD in motion and destination in motion were enabled

Well, I did the update specifically for the ETA to be displayed on the bottom of the map while driving. Being that that was the only feature I was interested in, I haven’t noticed any other improvements.
It did disable DVD in motion, the ability to enter destination while in motion, different sequence to enter engineering mode, and can’t access secret menu. car was at the dealer for service the other day, so I ask my SA to enable DVD in motion and destination while in motion, said he couldn’t.
I usually pull over if I need to enter a destination, but it nice to have if you’re on the highway with a passenger who can enter the info for you.

Press the following one after another do not hold: SERV – SYSTEM – LANG
immediately after, press and hold the following: END CALL + UPPER LEFT + AUDIO
approximately 6-8 sec

i did an update 40-06 and now i have mp3's but cant change from us to euro by 357 to get dvd...
ALSO,
DO YOU KNOW IF SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO READ FILES ON THE UPDATE CD?? IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET INTO THE FILES AND CHANGE ALL DVD MP3 NAVI OPTIONS??? THE MOST IMPORTANT IS I BELIEVE THE HIDDEN MENU AND THE ACCES TO IT....
