please help: blower problem

hello all,
i have been experiencing a blower problem sometime in the past where i turned on the climate control and couple minutes later the blower started to come on. the time has gone by and it seems like the problem has gotten worse and worse. the response time is getting longer and longer.
i did a search and there might be a problem with "DTB Blower Regulator". i just want to be sure before i change out this regulator. any advice would greatly appreciated.

A reasonable test for this would be to set the fan speed below mid speed, which will take the unit out of Auto, and then shut the car off. Next time you start the car, the A/C will still be out of auto and the blower will start with the car normally at below mid speed.

Put the unit into Defrost or Max cool and the blower should crap out in a few seconds, as soon as the blower demands Max Fan Speed.. When I had this problem on my early 04, and no one had heard of this problem, I noticed that the blower only cut out when Max Blower speed was either automatically called for by the system or I put the Def on (which defaults to Max fan speed.) It never stopped when the fan was running at mid speed or lower.

Either way, I would bet that because you live in a warm climate, at engine start-up your A/C is calling for Max Blower speed right away and is failing. Best bet is to replace the module under the dash passenger side. (I believe).
