First of all, I would like to say that all these slammed 211's are sexy!

Second, I can't find out how to freaking lower my E500, I read everywhere about adjustable links, but fail to find where to buy them from. Also, I seen somewhere you can lower it with washers, is this true?

You have many options

1) washers - they work, but don't lower your car much
2) links - http://www.adjustableairride.com/
3) ELM
4) lower your car via STAR

I believe I'm going to go with the links. Is it difficult to install? Hmmm, 20's off my w208 should fit the w211?

Fronts were **** easy, infact you actually dont need to remove the wheel. Rear was harder and again you dont need to remove wheels but you need some good lighting and clearance to get arms etc in there.

20s - what width and offset ? also what rubber ?
Wheels will fit most likely but will it look flush and sit well is another question.

My W211. Not as slammed as most of you. Should drop another 1/2 inch or so since I just got the work done today...

This is a beautiful set up. What did you use for the drop? What kind of wheels are those (and size), and where did you get them from?

Nice car

Thanks Diesel

The wheels are an AMG OEM option upgrade for the CL550/63 S550/63. 19x8.5 front offset 43 and 19x9.5 rear offset 43.

They were mounted with 10 mm H&R Spacers and dropped with H&R Sport Springs. I just got the car back yesterday so the car is supposed to drop another 1/2" or so in the front and back.

Thanks for the nice words Diesel!

Knowing you, I would go ELM and if you want to slam it for car shows, you may need to do both ELM and links.

Electronic Lowering Module. These control the height of cars with built in air suspension. There are a few brands out there but I'd go with the Renntech. v2 and v3 has a remote to control the height.

You can read up on these as there are plenty of threads on lowering.

probably just brand name recognition (Brabus, AMG, Carlsson, Renntech, etc.) that or the convenience of being able to adjust it with a remote or whatever. Personally I like the day to day challenges of driving a lowered vehicle or angling in/out of driveways, all the horn honking over speed bumps, etc...unless I could drive it as low (or even lower) as I am now and park it super undriveable low. But that'll have to wait until I replace the w210. Once we cross that bridge though I'd say I'd more than likely just get as low as possible on links and do like you say - either save the extra grand or put it towards something else on the car.
