Gorgeous Terry!

You and I have the exact same taste in car junk. 265's are a bit skinny out back on 10.5" wheels, no?

Clay, doin a stretch set-up this time...all show, no go Running stretch tires for max aggressive offsets. Trying to get the rim as flush with fender as possible.

Question- tires that dont fit the wheels intentionally or was that a joke?? Looks to me like a mistake.

The wheels look great though

Thanks...regarding the tires, that is intentional. You're basically asking the same thing Clayton asked. lol. It's called stretch fitment. My rims are specced for a very aggressive stance, so the stretched tires allow for a more aggressive offset w/o rubbing.

The more standard setup would be a 285/25/20 tire for the W211. This is the tire I'm running on my current rim.

Man, I'm sorry. Excuse my ignorance. I thought you were joking and I truly didn't understand the concept. But I get it, the wheel sticks out to the edge and the wheel caves in. I really really like the wheels!

No need to apologize! Stretch tires isn't a big scene on this forum. And yes, you get the concept now.

All depends on which neighborhood you come from. j/k j/k

I like the lips. Gotta keep 'em clean though. Brake dust is such a pain.

Plus I tend to like the spokes over mesh.

p.s., with 20" I hope the potholes in the Bay are better then here.... I think the HREs should hold up well strength-wise.

Thanks. My current setup has chrome lips, too. Brake dust does suck. I'm currently running 20's, no bent rims. Roads are alright where I live, but there are parts in the Bay Area with horrible freeways.

Back in the day the Falken 512 tires, were really popular for their ability to "stretch". I remember using those tires for a couple of my wheels.

Those chrome lips are sweet! How many inches are the lips (front/back)?

The Falken 452's were under consideration for this setup, but they are a bit more square than the Toyo's and people have told me they get noisy over time. The lips are 2" and 3.5". pics soon...

Sits nice; those wheels look good on that car. Congrats on the choice.

Just stay on smooth roads You've got no sidewall flex and it's gonna be one helluva stiff ride.

Did you put an AMG decal on the early calipers? The rotors don't look like AMG. (no posing please)

I like the new blue, looks like BenzoBoi's E55.

Thanks. I'm used to pothole swerving and bumpyr rides. Been driving like this since 1995 I'm not posing. My BBK setup is OEM E55 BBK...hence AMG stickers originally. Since I wanted a change, went Brembo stickers this time...well, AMG calipers are Brembo.

No posing here

I debadged (I'm posing as a non-AMG, LOL) and I want to shave the star, too. Just haven't got around to it. Did you just fill the hole and/or put a metal plate behind it? Paint the whole trunk lid?

I think all MB brakes are Brembo made. The white logo looks good on the blue.

Wheels look sick. I like the brighter blue as well for the calipers.

Even, the 500's 4 piston brakes are made by brembo.

I had a metal plate put behind it, then filled, and the whole trunk lid/bumper resprayed...took advantage of installing the E63 bumper and the need to paint it to shave off the star
