Terry,

Uber sick, as always. Looking out for ya bit here though....

Take a close look at this picture:

It appears the top of your wheel's lip is touching the upper inside of your fender on bumps. See the dirt/paint removal?

Thanks for looking out Clay. You're right. The day we put the wheels on, and did a test run through the city, there was no rubbing. I started to hear the rub when I got on the freeway home. The tires were clearing, but the lip was barely rubbing. There's this black plastic or rubber tab at the corner where the rear bumper meets the fender, and that was the main cause of the rub. It was rubbing slightly on the inner fender as well. Went back to Sonic and Darwin re-rolled and pulled my fender...no more rub. It's been raining here, so I didn't bother cleaning off the crap

I also noticed that, which is why I asked if he was going to roll/pull his fenders.

We did a conservative roll when the rims first went on. I went back and did a more aggressive roll with fender pull.

It was rubbing on dips in the freeway. The extra weight of 4 20" rims + tires loaded up in my car probably didn't help

I'm all good now after the fender pull. I can cruise at 80 w/o issues. I was probably in need of only 1 or 2mm of extra clearance

It's probably the same as yours. You only have a little more than 1/4" more rubber than me. I've been riding on little rubber since '95, so I'm used to it, and actually prefer it. Would love to see pics of your stretch setup

Wow hawt as hell tbone! Those HRE's really suit the 211. Great to see a non-AMG'er still investing money into their car despite the recession and AMG's getting cheaper and cheaper. I've been debating about upgrading now that a few cars I loved have gotten cheaper *cough* 996TT *cough*. Any issues with the SMART? You did a great job with that as well

Thanks I still "invest" money into this car because I'm keeping it til it dies, and I have no issues *knock on wood* with this car. I wouldn't chance selling this car, buying another one, and chancing potential problems. I don't race or track, so this car has more than enough power for me.

I love the SMART. I actually drive it more than my E. lol. It's a fun little car. no problems with the SMART either

That Lexus looks like it's got some major negative camber going on. But TBone, yours look pretty straight.

He may "want" that camber, so he can run more aggressive offsets with bigger lips. Different kind of car scene. While I like the flush look, I want to do it with minimal camber. My rear camber is -2.25. Not great, but with zero toe, my tires wear pretty even. I can't push out the camber anymore, or else i will rub. Actually, my rear camber is quite good for sitting so low. I had custom work done to straighten my suspension.

Thanks. Not only does it save on tires, but I like how it looks better. My front camber sits at -.5. Speaking of "smart"...

here's my smart, also sitting on KW V2's + HRE's. 10 spoke, step lip. love this little car. drive it more than my benz

That's the best looking Smart I've ever seen.

Thanks. I swapped out the rear KW springs with Swift race springs, cuz the KW springs didn't drop the car low enough for me.

Thanks. It's a very fun little car. My next mod on the car is engine. Debating engine swap (MR2 turbo vs. Honda VTEC) vs. stage 2 turbo kit

Was it a huge investment to get that Smart where it is now? And by the way, your E is equally outstanding. Very tastefully done indeed.
