Does anyone know how to remove the side mirror cover of W211?

Does anyone know how to remove the side mirror cover of W211?

Does anyone know how to remove the side mirror cover of W211? Because the light is only working when folded. HELP!

With the mirror folded in, look inside and you'll notice a bent metal/spring type mechanism. Take flat headed screw driver and pry down on that piece. It'll will click into a down position. The mirror shell simply slides off after that.

Thats probably the same technique they used to STEAL my mirror covers a couple years ago. What a surprise to find them completely gone one day when I was walking to my car to leave work.

i have investigated this morning, but i could not find the excat area. Could you please send me a photo to guide me? Thanks a lot, it has been annoying me for a month already, expecially on the cold winter.

Sorry, no I can't. I no longer have the power folding mirrors on my car like you do. It's in the center of the folding mechanism. It's the only silver colored metal in there with a tab. Just push that down until it clicks. If you can't figure it out, just stop by your dealer. It's a very easy thing.
