One way to Solve the 7 Spd Rough Shift Problem
My E is at the dealer for the sonversion from TeleAid to Embrace so they gave me a new C Class Loaner... I see how MB has solved the rough 7 speed 2-1 shifting problem...
In this car every time you start the vehicle, the transmission defaults to the "C" Mode. If you set it to "S" and shut down the car, return & start it, its back in the "C" Mode, which makes it a smooth shifting 6 speed instead of the less than stellar 7 speed.
Basically its probably the best solution for MB until they come out with a new transmission way down the road... cause thay aint never gonna fix this 7 speed to be perfect on all cars. Its a really great 6 speed though!

You'd pretty much have to love it... the car is only in it for a split second. Our 2nd gear is better than most other's 1st gears for getting moving in a hurry.

LOL. this is interesting. Ya, there is no point in a transmission with over 6 gears. Lol, the new ML hybrid has 8 gears LOL HAHA. So what... it's starts out in 3rd gear???
