2004 E500 67,000 Miles Headlights Flicker just a little @ idle accompanied with slight noise from engine compartment. Both flicker and noise go away when rpm is slightly increased. Could this be a warning of what is to come? Possible Alternator or Regulator wearing out? I need to do some long distance driving and I am a little worried about this has anyone had these symptoms? What happened next?

 

I would go with the battery.If its the original,that would make it 6 years old.About time to start looking for a replacement-on your terms.

 

Is the Mercedes Dealer the only place to buy a battery?

 

Battery under the back seat?
