coolant temp CDI
What are you CDI owners reading on Coolant temp. I think I am running cooler than I have in the past. Sure impacts the MPG's. At less than 20 out I was not hitting 80c on the gage after hours of driving.

Depends on the thermostat but it should definitely reach 80. With a 92 degree thermostat the needle should stay at 90 at very cold weather. A bad thermostat is quite common on CDI engines, I don't know why.

Thanks for the help. I'll have to pick up a new T-Stat.
as I am running under 80 on a a 20 deg day. Do you know is the T-stat an easy DIY or a big messy job?

PS. I've never had an opportunity to own a SEC, need an S, E and C to compensate that. For you one would fit pretty well.
