Airmatic ride height low at cold ambient temps.

There have been instances of Model 211 vehicles sitting too low at one or more corners after being parked at cold (15 degrees or colder) temperatures. Updated front air struts and rear air springs have been introduced, but only the faulty units are to be replaced, not all 4.

Does this mean that since they discovered the problem that the E500 I ordered this week won't be troubled by it?

Hey! Haven't heard from you in a long time. Your car will be fine. The updated front struts entered production as of Feb. 19, 2003. The updated rear springs entered production on Feb. 24, 2003.

I've been busy for a while. I'm glad to hear your news, thanks. They told me mine had a "b2" production code which they said meant that it would be produced around the end of March. Anything else I should watch out for? BTW isn't it weird that they put 17X7.5" wheels on the E500 Sport and 17X8" on the E500? At least that is what the brochure says.

BTW and I should have said. It's good to see you are still around here. I remember all the help you were to folks when I was on a lot. I also remember folks trying to get you to do the work and research that their own techs wouldn't do!

Yeah, I remember that certain person with the ML too. That whole fiasco drove me away for a long time. I thought I'd give it another shot, as long as people realize I'm doing this free of charge and am not obligated to do anything.

I think that the Sport has 17x8J and the Standard has 17x8.5J

I like the standard wheels better but the width probably won't make much difference.

BTW, I've noticed the strange levelling on COLD days here in Chicago.

Didn't quite know what to make of it.
