That slot is for CD and DVD Nav (I believe) but this command does not include Nav.

What is the condition of the nav screen? Looks pretty scratched up and damaged but that may just be the photo. I have seen MB's with the screens scratched or damaged; impossible to fix. And I mean impossible. Not worth $10 if that the case. And they cannot be repalced. Just fair warning.

Its the picture and the screen is has not been cleaned and full of finger prints. I just took a closer look myself of the screen and did not see any major scratches just a few minute ones that are not noticeable when the command is on.

Most of the "scratched up" you are referring to is the anti-glare coating which can be removed. Do a quick search on this forum and you will find many owners with this problem. You can then apply an aftermarket anti glare shield. Screen looks like new after that (I know as mine looked extremely "scratched up").
