Although I do not own an E55, I can tell you from my past experiences that you will definitely notice a big difference. Although powerful, the E55 will feel nowhere near as light and agile as your Evo and overall will feel stiffer in all aspects from body to steering.
Realistically though if you do not track the cars and are looking for a comfortable DD with enough power to get your panties in a bunch then the E55 would be an excellent choice. have a ride/drive it and you will see.

Good luck with your purchase and post some pics if you can!
The e55, in my case e500 is fast but not as fast and not really a track car hehe though i have taken it out just for a laugh.
When your in the e55 i am sure you will not most likely 'calm down' a little in the sence that you will not want to give it a go from the lights everytime. sure you may want to show up a punk that thinks your all looks but its not the same feeling in the car, sometimes you do blow someone away and think to yourself. hmmm why did i do that ... i didnt need to. Your in a different class.
My point is even though the car wont handle like the evo, you will enjoy a different side of it. I love it, i still think twice about keeping it but not because i dont enjoy driving it. but because this is the most expensive car i have owned so far, well marginally and i hate parking lots etc so it no longer becomes an everyday car as such, but thats another story altogether :P

so many buttons and so little time.
