Help w/Instrument Cluster

OK. I have an 2004 E320 and when I got in my car this morning the center of the speedo which shows radio station, temp, and the odometer section were gone. As soon as I start the car they turn white. If you look real close you can still see them but not from a distance. When i turn the car off you can see them but small lines are running down them. Anyone heard of this or a solution??

Thanks

Not sure of a solution, but it does sound like it may need repaired. You can probably find someone that can repair it for a flat rate. If you get a replacement, you will need to get one with less than 250mi on it or find someone with a tool to reset it. Once installed, it should sync with the EZS and display the correct mileage.

No guarantee but attempt reset by removing IC and disconnecting electrical connector - PM your email address.

Well it is working now. I live in SoCal and it has been raining cats and dogs lately. My car usually is in the garage but has been outside cause i've been working on a project in my garage. Could it be moisture somehow got in and now it is dry?? I took it in the highway and was doing about 90mph,,umm i mean 55 officer and it came back. maybe it acted like a blow dryer and dried it out. Either way it is working now. Thanks for your replies. This forum has always been great.
