2007 E350 Iphone, Subwolfer Question
I have the 2007 Command System with the Key Less Go feature if it matters. I am trying to figure out the best way to hook up my Iphone and Ipod through the car's speakers to listen to music and talk on the phone.
I was told by a few people that I need to get some kind of adapter but I am just not sure exactly what I need to get. Or if it would be possible to update the command unit to a newer 2010 version.
Which ever is the easiest way, or less expensive is what I would actually do I am guessing. I just don't really know the best way to go about it all.
Also I was looking at beefing up the subs with some aftermarket JL's or something along those lines. Do you guys know the options for that? I figured someone on here had already been through all that and could help me out.
Thanks for any help.
To talk on the phone, i have yet to try that honestly, i usually have my iPod in the glovebox for music and my iPhone sitting in the center console.
One thing to remember, they installed my iPod integ. kit about a month or two ago, and i noticed it would play the music but it would not charge my iPhone or my iPod, so my batteries on the iPod would die, i recently took it in to the dealership for an ESP Inoperative thing, and they gave me a loaner C Class which i noticed was charging my iPhone, and playing music. so i took it to them and told them the situation and they updated the Cable to a newer one, and it finally charges my iPhone and iPod. no need for a car charger anymore too!
so, 1. iPod integration kit, either from dealer or go to a car audio place, but the car audio place might not update anything if it gets outdated, i.e. my cable which was "old" the dealer updated the cable for free. cause it was under warranty.
2. i have not the slightest clue on these vehicles with the Subs man, im looking into it myself so im gonna be watching this thread also. im really good with car audio myself, but im scared ****less to touch this car.

Sir, what is needed is the bluetooth interface module from Mercedes, that allows you to connect your phone to the car. Without this interface module, using the car's microphones and speakers, would be impossible. This is the only way to use bluetooth in your model year Mercedes. Later for 2009-2010, Mercedes integrated bluetooth into their vehicles, so no interface module is needed. This module cost in the neighborhood of $400, you might be able to acquire one thru eBay. If you know someone in the parts department, maybe they can get you one at dealer cost. Good Luck
As far as the aux jack in the glovebox there may already be one there.
I was looking around on the internet and saw this http://www.autotoys.com/x/product.php?productid=14298
Anyone have any experience with those? Seems like it would do the phone, Ipod, and even a portable hard drive.

It was kinda sneaky in there though, if you don't look at the ceiling of the glovebox you won't see it. It won't charge the phone but I assume I just need a newer cable.
Thanks

Glad it worked out for you...

Thanks again.
It does stink though when you have to leave it open or completely close the glove box when your phone is in there....
