sick of this mpg..
So I just took a 3 hr trip out of town & the mpg was 22.5, mph 49, temp 28 --- I was expecting to get more like 27ish..
Just yesterday I put in new air filters & changed engine oil (0w-40 Mobil1 -- yes the level was close to 'full' & filter was original MB) ... tire pressures 31 front, 34.5 rear
Abt a month ago, I changed differential oil too..
nothin made a freakin difference
I'm really sick of 4M

increase tire pressure a few psi, im talking like 3-5 no more cause youll blow them. on highway you don't do a lot of turning so the increase will create less rolling resistance.
i did this where i was getting avg of 26.7 on fwy and now its higher like 28+ depending on speed.
i notice our cars get the best mpg around 55 mph and and goes down slightly up till 70 then it goes down majorly after 75.

You do not reset on the highway do you ? I'm talking abt door to door mpg, this includes warming up the car too - If I reset the trip computer on the highway I can see somewhere near 26, 27 etc ... and not to mention the cold temps here - not sure what could I check that could help bring up the numbers..
