i had a few things get replaced with my car recently. Battery and front bumper/hood body work. the hood is completely all the way down but the "Open Hood" (in RED letters) always pops up whenever i drive. it is extremely annoying. is there a DIY method to turn it off all together or does MBZ have to restet it???

It happened to me once after closing my hood. Usually a flaky microswitch would cause it to appear. Check make sure the actuator of the switch is not bent and the part that activate the switch is still attached under the hood. It's the same principle when you don't put on your seatbelt, that blinking icon reminds you.
