New Guy Cheking In

Just checking in. On Feb 26, I traded in my 2007 Z4M Coupe for a 2008 E350 Sport, Arctic White/Black, Pano, P1. 15,500 miles. So far car is perfect. Desperately needs claybar and Zaino. Wheels are a pain to clean. Will probably switch to low dust pads. Any suggestions? Looking forward to learning from you guys.

Almost forgot. Will remove front license plate bracket. Where can I order color keyed plugs to fill in the holes?
Here are obligatory photos:

Thanks sunny j. Tint is first on the list. Sort of liking your mods. How's the ride with the H&Rs and 20s?

Nice new car. The rims are not that hard to clean compared to a BMW . To clean the rims just make sure you get a nice wheel spoke brush and some rim cleaner. My husband has a far easier time cleaning my 18 inch wheels compared to the 17 inch rims on his BMW.

I change to Zeckhausen pads on my previous Bimmer and the break dust was almost non-existent with no loss of stopping power. Trying to find similar for the Merc.

I just run my car thru the local car wash weather permitting every week. Wheels come out sparkling clean with OEM brake pads.

How's your paint? Any fine swirls as a result? The previous owner of my car didn't take too good a care of the finish resulting in noticeable swirls -- on a white car, too! In the next couple of weeks me and a buddy will take the porter cable to her a eliminate those awful swirls. Will follow up with claybar and Zaino.

Very nice looking car. I detest front license plates too and removed the frame someone put on mine first thing. I had the option of these (http://www.bumperplugs.com/) or a Euro plate and loved the way the Euro plate looked so I went that route. Other option would be have them professionally filled and sprayed but I didn't want any paintwork on the car for when I sell it - the Euro plate will come right off and leave zero indication it was there - I can just put the factory mount back since most people really don't care.

I am sure you will like it. It really gives the car a nice look - especially if you have those darn holes to do something with.

I just replaced my front pads with Centric Ceramic pads and they are great. Went to Vegas and came back, the rear wheels were black from brake dust but the fronts were clean. No perceptible difference on feel and stopping power.
