cross drilled/slotted in front only?

Would it be weird if I replaced the fronts with cross drilled and the rear with OEM rotors? I already have a pair of new rotors for the rear but I need to replace all four.

Why would it be weird?

The front brakes are the ones that get overheated and benefit from being slotted, drilled, and vented. All that weight and forward weight shifting during hard braking. It's also why the front rotors are larger (on performance brakes.)

Just more function over form. From and asthetic perspective, fronts and rears look better. Although when my brother did his, he did the fronts first and the rears later. You spent so much time ooh'ing over the fronts that noone ever noticed the rears.

I don't have drilled rotors on our MB but I have read several members complaining about aftermarket drilled rotors warping very quickly. I am not suggesting that all do because too many vehicles use them successfully. They are pretty heavy so even if you get them by mail order with a guarantee, you will likely suffer return shipping if they fail. I think the consensus is if you are going to use drilled, buy OEM
