My recent TeleAid fix...
So I just got my car back from having the TeleAid system checked out.
My problem was that the system could not connect a call. All I got was a busy signal and "Connecting call..." and "Call failed..." messages.
I called TeleAid, and they reported that my account was fully active and up to date.
I previously had my CP module replaced due to an internal short. The fix for the TeleAid was to reprogram my car with the proper TeleAid account number and corresponding information. Apparently, there has been a problem with US cars being somehow programmed with European TeleAid information, thus causing the system to malfunction.
Mine was reprogrammed, and the magical voice of a woman appeared in my car stating my exact location... scary!
Did Orwell predict TeleAid in 1984? Big Brother's watching you...
