Dealership Wrecks E-Class During Overnight "Test Drive"
Interesting story about a dealership whose mechanic drove a customer car home and the car got totalled while he was driving it.

unreal. Car at cost... How about we will will replace your E350 at no cost. If you break it you buy it. Her insurance company is the party really getting abused.

Since the car got rear-ended, I think her insurance company then makes a claim against the insurer of the car that did the rear-ending. I'm assuming the owner of the E-class put in a claim under her collision policy so that she'd get a better payout and better treatment since she's dealing with her own insurer.

Actually, they say that the dealership denied her claim, so she was forced to file with her own company.

Right, but the person who rear-ended her is still at fault, so you would file a claim against that person's insurance company unless it's more advantageous to file against your own.
