Hi to all - recent member here. Got my E500 back on New Years Eve and have about 4700 miles so far. So far so good.

Question - Have any of you out there with the Sport pkg gotten you windows tinted? I'm curious to see how the blue tint of the sport package affected the tint, if any. Don't want to end up with purple window tint! Thanks!!

No problems from my end. The tint looks just as black and beautiful as it would on a car with no light blue tint under it. Do it, you won't get any funny colors.

 

no problem, just got my windows in 20% tint and looks great not to dark, not to light just right!

BigBohn - Your color combo is awesome. It was a toss up between the Tectite and the Pewter. Didn't want to wait until April for a special order, though. Tectite was hard to find in December.

 

Thanks, BMcD. I've heard that everywhere; the tectite is a hard color to get. Funny thing is the tectite was the only E500 sport the dealership had on the lot. The brilliant silver E500 sport was out for the weekend (don't blame the underpaid salesman for taking it out for a spin, its a hell of a car). So I decided on the tectite right then and there.

Anyways, its hard to get a color that doesn't work for this car. Every one of them is gorgeous. Good luck on your vehicle.
