Retrofitting Rear Monitors to existing Command System

AS the title says I have an W211 with Command HDD. It is a 2009 model.

I want to know if it is possible (I'm sure it is) to retrofit LCD Monitors in the rear for the kids but to link it into the existing Command system that I have?

I don't mind if it is on the back of the heeadrests or like a picture I seen somewhere on the web with a LCD monitor in the centre console ( Ipresume this would be easier). I am not sure though if this was linked to the Command system.

Also, I see some people talking about TV receivers, is this possible to add in as I'm living in Ireland and everything can be backward here!

Lastly, I have the media interface in the glovebox that I suposedly can plug my Ipod into, but i would need some sort of adapter cable Can anyone help me on this?

thanks

Steve

Can't help you on the video portion..

but the iPod is an audio male to male cable only (won't charge the ipod).. just take your ipod to an audio store, they should be able to fit you right up.

I rerouted mine from the glove box to the center console, easier to see.
you still won't be able to control it from the steering wheel though. To do that, you need the full iPod kit..

I dont understand why I would need the full Ipod kit as there is already the interface in the glovebox for me. It is not a 3.5 jack, but rather a fancy looking connector (i'll post a pic later on)

found these on the web. is this what i need and what is the difference between them?

also this looks tidy for holding the ipod in the glovebox

A001 827 8404 cable to play and charge newer Ipod/Iphone (5v/12v)
A0018276904, A2048270504 cable to play and charge older Ipod (12v)

Should be all you need!

The first link you put should work, the second link is updated cable for non MMI option cars with i-pod kit that allows charging of newer ipod/iphone.....
