I would look into some sort of StoneGuard type of coating for the lower sills if you are worried about stone chips. I just figure I'll set aside a few bucks in 3 or 4 years and have the front end repainted along with the lower rocker panels if they need it. I just don't think mud flaps will look good on our cars. Good luck!!

Depending on the "design" of the MB mudflap and the color of your car, they can look ok. I just ordered some clear bra material from stongard and will go that route.

Prior to having mud flaps, I had road crap slash all the way up to the outside mirrors, not to mention the door panels and handles. The black color blends with the wheel wells no looks like natural extension. Installation took less than 1 hour.
Good Luck.

Cost was $46 for front and $46 for rear set. I installed myself, and used electric drill. Had to remove rear tires for access, but was able to rotate front tires via steering for access. Was pretty straight forward, and kit came with instructions.
- p/n 6-6-52-8217
- p/n 6-6-52-8218
Paperwork doesn't say which pn is front and rear.

I was going to buy and install them myself as there always appear to a great deal of dirt/brake dust coming from the wheel wells.
I wasn't too thrilled when I read that briar had to use a drill.
briar, was it difficult to drill whatever holes you had to?

Clarification
Drill was used to insert self tapping screws into the wheel well. No intrusion into sheetmetal or body.
In other words, you can remove screws and ther is minimal damage
Car is rather dirty now, will post pictures for all once I have chance to clean up my favorite ride.
