My 05 CDI is wonder car regular gets 36/38 mpg on the road and now isw about to roll over 72,000 miles and have been wondering how long I should run the serptine belt and being one who regularely put the batteries on the trickle charger I wonder how long the battery should last on average.

Also do the CDI cars have the duel inside the cabin pollen filters or just the pollen filter under the hood?

Belt is "checked" every 26K miles / 2 years. Replace when required is all the maintenance booklet proscribes.

When tested at 52K service, almost 4 years, our aux battery was replaced under warranty.

Here are the two HVAC filter possibilities:

Man I looked all through my manual for the belt and never saw it listed, guess I just over looked it twice.

I have taken down the kick panel under glove box and nothing there looked like the PDF so guess my car does not have one. Saved some money there I guess.

Next service guess I'll have it replaced, but last month when I checked it looked almost new.

My original aux bat died about year and a half ago, would you believe I didn't know it had an aux bat until then.

Was planning to have new battery installed this fall before winter hits by local AutoZoo if there is no need to use the STAR to reprogram main computer, just reset the windows, radio and such as shown in the manual.

So far this has been the most trouble free car I have ever owned and cheap to drive in the process and I still love driving it every time I get in the car as much as I did the first time I drove the car.

I'd be sceptical AutoZone can provide a correct battery.

If it's lead acid, there needs to be a capability to vent it through the bottom of the trunk.

The OE battery is sealed AGM IIRC. I really wouldn't replace with any other type, and especially not a lead acid.

Batteries from the dealer and not much more expensive than aftermarket, and the dealer will come to your house and install it, only charging for the part. Call the roadside assistance number.
