Thank you for your assistance. However, I can't find it. Would you mind telling how to reset it?

Success - I finally figured out how to access the FSS on my vehicle. On mine, you get to the FSS screen by bringing up the status on how many miles to the next service.....then hold the reset button for five plus seconds and that brings up the FSS Main Menu. Trying to access the FSS by bringing up the outside temp screen just doesn't work on my vehicle. I was then able to follow my owner's manual directions to reset the FSS Service Indicator.......I got service at a 3rd party Euro Service Center and they hadn't reset the FSS so I was able to do it myself by using the above access process and then following my owner's manual to do the reset protocol.
- Outside temperature display;
- Press button up or down on the steering wheel until the FSS PLUS indicator appears in the display;
- Press the trip odometer reset knob for about five seconds (Service Menu appears in the display);

In case there is something in your learnings that others should know, it would be useful if you would clarify how your procedure differs from the guide konigstiger referred (and provided)? The referred guide too went into the the FSS menu, the outside temp display was just a starting point:
- Outside temperature display;
- Press button up or down on the steering wheel until the FSS PLUS indicator appears in the display;
- Press the trip odometer reset knob for about five seconds (Service Menu appears in the display);

Starting from the Outside Temp Display listed in konigstiger's document for my 2003 E500 does not work. I had to start with the Display showing the next service status, i.e., the Display with the number of miles to the next required "ABC" Service, then hit the trip odometer reset knob for 5 plus seconds........that then brings up the FSS Plus Service Menu. I then followed the procedures listed in my MB Owners Manual on the Reset of the Service Indicator. Worked like a charm........my Display now shows Service D Due in 9,980 Miles. Hope that clarifies the process.
Perhaps we are talking about a different temp display, my understanding is that you first get to the "basic display menu" where the temperature is displayed too (I cannot remember for sure if this is actually a configurable setting and the basic display menu could have something else shown too?). From this menu you would enter to the FSS menu which we both wanted to reach and the rest is already aligned. Either way, getting to the FSS menu is the key.

In my car, pressing three times gets me to the FSS reset menu the long way through the voltage and then dyno menues. The press and hold (5 sec) method brings me right to the flexible service menu

Sorry, this does not clarify it for me. But I hope everyone else got it, that is all that counts.
