2011 S63 w/ New Turbo Engine - Test Drive
Car and Driver was able to get behind the wheel of a 2011 S63 which has the latest AMG engine. 5.5 liter twin-turbo.
A few stats...
536 hp
590 lb-ft
S63 Weight: 4900lbs
0-60: 4.2 to 4.4
22mpg (NO GAS GUZZLER!)
I cannot wait to see what the E63 will be like and on down the line.. Way to go AMG!

Yeah, I'll probably be ready for a 5.5TT E63 in a few years (or instead, the M5.)
But in a way it's sad to see NA motors go the wayside. They deliver such smooth linear power and sound great. I think Porsche will always offer both a FI and a NA version of their flat six. Their key to performance is weight. Hard to do that with a big piggy Benz that gets fatter every year.
