I installed it, I previously had 8.0. I don't notice anything better about it, but I only had 8.0 for a few weeks before getting it. I live in a major Metro area, and the coverage was great for both discs. I wish it allowed you to chose specific addresses, it still only allows the block.

Its only a Map update/POI disc. If there weren't significant changes to your area roads, you will notice no visible differences. People out there running V.6 or earlier may be interested in buying your old disc though.
If you haven't bought the new disc though, and your directions seem OK with your current disc, save your money. Even if you drove to Boston (The "recently" completed Big Dig/new bridges & Tunnels Project for example,) it will tell you to make a right turn when you are in a tunnel. You will get there anyway as soon as it locates a preexisting street. If you don't go to Boston often, don't worry about your old disc either. Its still ok for the rest of your life.
