How Many Quarts does the Transmistion hold

Guys Im thinking of changing the Trans Fluid and the Trans Filter My car has 122K and its been shifting a little hard. Does Anyone know how many Quarts it holds so I can order online?

It takes 8+ when completely empty but unless you have a machine to vacuum the torque converter /cooler you cannot get but about 4 quarts out by draining. I also have an older 320. The factory fluid comes in liters.
Get a clean pan and empty the fluid into it. Measure the loss and replace it plus a few ounces that stick to the pan. I believe I ordered 5 liters just to be sure. The stuff is golden and costs about $17 / liter. Get a new filter too. They are pretty reasonable. You have to drop the pan to access it. It is very important NOT to over fill. Replace ONLY what comes out. Good Luck
