Now that you've done this, I would try it with your spare key available so you don't spend $125. It really shouldn't happen.
Also, was your spare fob not available that you spent $125?
After closing/locking your trunk with the key inside, push down several times on the rear area to get the car to rock up and down 3-4 times, and see if the keyless go sensors detect your key inside the trunk and pop the trunk open.
Years ago, this was the solution on Corvettes if you accidentally locked your car with the RF-enabled key still insde. Don't ask me how I know this.
