locked keys in trunk
Well there is no easy way to say this but, I have keyless go and when I walked up to the trunk I was able to unlock the trunk with the key still in the suitcase. Forgetting I did not have the key in pocket I closed the trunk after putting my suitcase in it. Of course I was unable to unlock the car and the trunk closed and locked with my key in there. I was under the impression the trunk would not close if a key was left inside, but it did for me. 125 bucks and about an hour latter I was on my way, Almost anybody can quickly break into our cars but getting the trunk to open requires someone who is clever about which fuses to pull to disabale the alarm and allow the trunk to be opened. Can you guys close the trunk with your keys inside.

I'm surprised because if put the keys inside the car anywhere, you cannot lock the car.
Now that you've done this, I would try it with your spare key available so you don't spend $125. It really shouldn't happen.
Also, was your spare fob not available that you spent $125?

the spare was 90miles away and it was midnight so I chose to use the tele aid suggested person. I don't pay the annual fee for tele aid so they could not remotely unlock my car . And you can't sign up at that moment I tried. Also I don't know what mbrace is.

Strange....Not too long ago, I accidently put my golf bag in the trunk with key in the bag and when I closed the trunk it popped open automatically. I remember thinking WTF? and then realized where the key was. I'd test it again, but i still only have one key. Buying a spare keeps getting pushed down my to-do list.

I'd say try to replicate the situation again, but from home with your spare fob available but somewhere out of RF range.
After closing/locking your trunk with the key inside, push down several times on the rear area to get the car to rock up and down 3-4 times, and see if the keyless go sensors detect your key inside the trunk and pop the trunk open.
Years ago, this was the solution on Corvettes if you accidentally locked your car with the RF-enabled key still insde. Don't ask me how I know this.

yup, the trunk won't close/lock if the fob is inside .. maybe the batteries were low on your fob? try replacing them if its still locking your fob in your trunk?

I tried replacing the batteries no help but thanks I guess that feature no longer works and of course it was 25 miles out of warranty. Also I tried numerous times to rock the car from the bumper

25 miles out of warranty should not have made a difference with your dealer. They should correct it under warranty. Now I guess you regret having no Teleaid solution. Would have been well worth it for this and the safety concerns. Hope you will renew now. MBrace by the way is the new company that has replaced Teleaid for the 2010 vehicles. Works pretty much the same as Teleaid.
