Red face Largest dog crate/kennel to fit in the back of E500 wagon

Hi

I am thinking of buying a E500 wagon (2004).
If any of you know what size dog kennel/crate would fit longitudinally, I would really appreciate it.

Our soft crate is 36(depth)x27(height)x24(width). I am about 200 miles from the dealer that has the car and I don't want to make the trip unless I know the crate will fit.

And in case anyone is wondering, this is a labrador retriever and he won't be comfortable in a smaller crate/kennel/

Thanks in advance.

call the dealer, I'm sure they will have no problem measuring for a potential buyer. TC

I got a 2004 E-500 Wagon and a big dog.

83 lbs Doberman Pincher

Never use a crate or kennel back there, just putting towels on the carpet and the dog jumps in.

My dog loves the E-500 Wagon and so do I...

NorseWagon, any chance you could measure the back for me if you get a chance. I would really be grateful.

The dealer has not been very cooperative. I think that they are thinking we are crazy

Normally, we would also have the dog be in the back unless we are driving to go on vacation in which case we take him in his kennel and put luggage on the sides.
