Problem Charging iPod Thru In Car Cable?
Just got a notice that theres some sort of MB small adaptor that remedies this situation. It looks like a small flat square piece of "plastic" with the MB Logo embossed on it, with a female jack on one end an a mail plug on the other.
Looks to me like it corrects some sort of wiring difference between the iPod and the MB Cable.
Just passing this along... I dont even own an ipod.

Cable in car charges at 12v for older ipods.....adapter brings down to 5v for new style. (previous option was to install a new cable)
Thank you apple for changing your product mid production, nice way to sell more apple products.....

Can you post a link or part number for the OEM adapter? I've only seen this one.

Does anyone else have a different one that might be cheaper?

SPECIAL OF THE MONTH
Are you having problems charging your new IPod through the cable in your car?
Well we have a solution for you. **** Parts now stocks an adapter to fix the charging problem. The regular retail price is $56.00 but if you act now you can get yours for only $44.00. Get it now before the price goes up!! If you have any questions please give us a call
I guessing this part is a fix for a problem that is within some MB iPod integration kits, since it is an MB Product offered by an MB dealership's parts department.
