Question key-less go and easy entry users

for those of you who have key-less go and have activated the easy entry feature for the steering col and seat, does it work for you? the steering retracts however the seat remains. manual keys works both.

Having recently adjusted my seat farther back with the seat back more upright, the seat does remain in place on entry/exit. Before this last change, it did move on entry/exit. I am assuming that there is a point where the seat is far enough back that it just stays there.

Also, I guess you have noticed that even with the same key, you can establish 3 memory positions with the key in, and another 3 memory positions with the key in your pocket.

buggy?

i've noticed a few things about this feature.

i have a key and my setting is 2.

wife has a key and her setting is 1.

when i pull the door handle, the door unlocks and opens. seats move back for easy entry.

i sit down, step on brakes, push button to start car....the seats sometimes move into position 1...sometimes position 2...sometimes doesn't move at all (so i push position 2 manually).

how does the key thing work with positions anyway? for me, how do i set the key so that it will always move to position 2?

also, if my wife is also in the car and she has her key in her purse and i have my key in my pocket, how does the car know what position to put the car in?

Rock

my dealer is looking into a fix for the easy entry working properly with keyless-go. easy entry should work just as well as using a manual key.

i've also been told that when 2 keyless-go keys are inside the car simultaneously, use the key manually.

Yes, it is. I had to have an amplifer replaced to get mine to work properly. It was frustrating until it was fixed; now it's one of my favorite features.

Aw, you shouldn't be so self-conscious... a lot of MB owners do hump their cars, so you're probably not even noticed!!!

i had the exact same problem with keyless-go. doors would not unlock nor the trunk even if the key was next to the sensor. they replaced the amplifier, and all is well...works great.

the only thing is that i sometimes have to press the lock button on the driver's door twice when locking the doors. the other door's button it's only once..never twice.

Functions as I understand and tested

Key dependant feature - set to "on"
Easy entry-exit feature can be set for each key.
Each key has its own 3 memory settings, so a total of 6 different settings.
Memory is based upon last key used.
When key is inserted it remembers last setting (1,2,or3) for that key and returns to that position.
When key is removed is uses entry-exit feature set for that key.
Note, if you modified seat settings from memory position, and use same key upon re-entry it remembers that position.
Hope that this helps.
