squeaky sound just after I press the brake

I have a MY05 E500 that exhibit a squeaky sound right after I press the brake pedal. If I press very, very slowly, I can make the sound last a long time but at a much reduced volume. Once the brake is partially depressed, the sound doesn't occur until I release the brake.

Any suggestions? Local shop said that there was a recall for it, but I didn't see anything on the recall list related to this. I know SBC's have an extended warranty, but is my condition related?

Thanks in advance for any advice. I searched and found similar complaints with no resolution. Also, the problem existed last year and then went away for most of the winter.

get urself a pair of new rotors and brake pads my friend. i had the same issue with my c class. in the winter the sound went away but during the summer when its hot the brakes stick and make that squeaking sound. try to not use ur emergency brake when the rotors are still hot, a lot of the time it can cause the e brake to stick and not let off properly. hope this can help you out a little, best of luck to you.

Is that true about the e-brake. I use it every where I go, even when it is parked inside the garage. Reason is because I dont like how the car move and get caught in the trannny when the brake pedel is let go when put in park. Am I the only one doing this??

This happened to my car last week. Thought that therw was air in the system. Turned out there was a software update for the hydraulic pump which was replaced 2 weeks prior.

Appreciate the fact that you are trying to communicate something to us, however, I am somewhat baffled by your elusive post---"This happened to my car last week" ----What happened to your car last week???

Normally this would indicate air in the system requiring SDS procedure.

All is clear----my question is have you spent time putting your ear to suspected locations within the car to determine where and what is causing the squeek or are you asking us for help how to do that??

The squeaky noise in my car came from the pedal. This problem was resolved by the software update from the dealership.
I posted in this thread as an FYI item so that if other members encounter this same problem, they will be aware that software update of the hydraulic pump is a potential fix.
Thank you for the offer to help. I appreciate that.

Regarding the software update, I now have this noise and the dealer recently replaced the SBC unit under warrantee.

Should I ask them about the sound and any software update? I thought it was me but my wife commented on the noise so it isn’t my imagination.
