a/c unit

I now have to go AGAIN to service. Car only blows hot air.
yes i made sure dial is blue

yes i made sure the a/c button was correctly used.

I brought it tp dealer who also confirmed its defective.

so far..
motor mounts
alignment
a/c

now i hear there might be shock absorber prob;.
anything elose i should hv them fix when im there?

i hve 2003 e500= sport-e2 and e3
appt sert for Monday


fun car but for a car close to 60k its not fair nor correct

Were you ever getting the mildew smell from the ac when first turned on?...I would be interested to know what your dealer says about that since quite a few cases have been mentioned here.

might not be anything major like the compressor, could be a solenoid or some other electrical component. can you feel or hear the compressor engaging at all? if the compressor engages, but then dis-engages within 15 seconds, its detecting low pressure in the refrigerant resevoir and shutting down. if it doesn't engage at all, its some kind of electrical thing. if it engages and stay engaged like it would when operating normally, but still blows hot air, then it could be a bad unit.

jwmciti,

ask the service center to check your temperture sensor. my bimmer had this problem due to the temperture sensor thinks it is cold so sends the hot air, after replace a new sensor, the problem is gone.

i have the 4 different temp. thingy a\c and for the front a\c, what the hell is that volume looking thing. when i turn it, it doesn't do jack
