Rear Bumper Cover
RE: 2003 E320
I could use some advice on removing the rear bumper cover.
I backed in to a paving compactor that the contractor parked immediately across from my driveway. I hit this very solid piece of iron right on the rear left corner. A quick look indicates that the bumper stanchions and the bumper frame are undamaged. The plastic cover has been pushed forward about 1/2 inch past the bottom of the taillight. The anchor at the wheel arch held and as such, there is a pucker in the piece. I can live with the small amount of paint / trim damage but I want to re attache the cover to the rear quarter panel. One of the mounts has torn out and a second appears like a pop rivet and I cannot tell if it is damaged or just loose. I am willing to remove the cover to realign and repair the damage. Where do I start?
Any info appreciated
