Rear ambient lights dont work

I have checked again, they do not come on when I open the door,
I have tried the right side nothing happens,
The middle button for the roof curtain does not work at all
Only the reading lights work.

I do not have the panoramic roof, but in my front light overhead cluster there is a switch to turn the rear light on and off. It is the last switch at the rear along with two other switches that control the front lights and also whether the overhead lights come on when a door is opened. I asume you have these switches as well and made sure the rear light is turned on? Even when the rear light is turned off, the reading lights will still work which is what it sounds like you are experiencing.

I had taken the car to Mercedes and had a dignostics test done on the car, It came out that the rear cluster is faulty, this is the cluster with reading lights in it.
So now on the hunt for a rear cluster
