E500 transmission - reverse to drive
I have an 05 e500 that when i abckuo and then put it into drive it does not engage immediately.. i step on the gas slightly then it seems to jump when it catches... i think it may be low tranny fluid but dont know how to check -- it was rescently broght in to the dealer and they changed a trans control module because they read some malfunction codes on it -- is there a way to check fluid level or has anyone else experienced this -- car seems solid olther than that at all speeds and shifts fine

My E500 also has a delay before engagement as well as every other automatic I've driven.
How long of a delay are you experiencing? If it's more than a couple of seconds there may be a problem. It wouldn't hurt to have the fluid level checked, although I think if the level was low you would be experiencing other problems.
