so i went and bought a HID kit for my 03 E320 put it on> Take the car to the dealer and have them program it to work( my car came with no HID). Everything work fine but my headlight seem dim> Go the same kit for my M3 and the light seem brighter. I went from a 12k to 8K and no diff they both dim . Any ideal??

 

The higher the color temp the less visible light. There are numerous posts on MBWorld describing this problem.

 

12,000K does not produce much usable light. Mine are factory 4300K and they light up the road very nice.
