I did 30% Black/smoke on the sides and 20% black smke in rear non metallic. Looks great. Metalic will foul up AM Radio reception. Didn't want limo Looks classy.

Yes it is but here in South Texas it is just not enough- The blue cuts UV by 90% but radiant heat is still a problem. I kept the tinting light enough to still allow the mirrors to auto react to light as designed. But the heat reduction seems to be significant. Second reason is that wanted some degree of privacy and the tint ( and roller blinds) afford us that. The blue is awesome I agree but falls just short for us at least.

I did a 35% tint last week. I'll try and post pics when I get back in town. With the black looking trim around the pano roof, the tinted glass looks great. Good luck with yours.

I'm contemplating tinting my car all the way around with a light tint. I agree with Mark that the stock blue tint looks awesome, but in SoCal the sun really gets the interior hot--especially with my charcoal interior. The only thing I'm concerned with is that someone told me that because MB has the "dust catcher" on its windows, the tint will eventually show some streaking. Does anyone with tint notice this streaking?

ive got limo tint all around on my navigator, and it keeps the sun out, but on my E they said that titanium would be better on keeping the sun out, but my car is black and if i get titanium, my windows are gonna be silver

Pogotango,
I'm thinking about having the phone installed when my car gets here (Appox 2 weeks). I have a Vision phone now and kind of like it. How do you like your v-60 both in and out of the car? Do you have the Voice Command? Like it?

Be Careful In CA
I am currently driving a friend's car that has tinted windows on sides, front, and back. I have been pulled over twice by LAPD -- the second time with guns drawn.
I was pulled over specifically because of my tinted windows.
Be careful -- do not over tint your windows and be aware that in California there are laws against any tint on the front side windows and windshield.

For Joseesq and STKLAW - My tint installer had MB replacement weatherstrips that he installed on my E500. These have the "felt" strip where the window goes into the door. Ours now come with just a rubber-type of edge that may scratch the tint.
The only downside is your tint installer had better know how to pull the door apart, install the strip, and get it back together. I did the front two windows since those will be opened the most over the life of the car. Mine work great and if you use Plexus to clean the inside of your tinted window, it's almost like waxing the window - it makes it as slippery as Rain-x does on the outside.

Down in Florida, tinting is not as readily enforced as other parts of the country. 20 to 15 is pretty normal; that's what I got and I think it looks just stunning.
But you're in California. Yes, I would also advise against tinting your windows too dark. Silver or titatium (whatever the reflective one is called, aka 'mirror') should also be off limits. Go with a black or none at all.

no voice command, the v60 phone itself sucks, but it is really helpful to put in your car and use speaker phone, but sometimes, the connect isn't as great as regular cell. Like if you v60 has full connection when its outside, and then once you put it in speaker phone, the connection would be half or little bit over. but overall its convenient

For titanium from the johnson company it should be $150-200 depending on how well you know the people
and for limo, $80-$120, and if you pay anything over that price, you got ripped off. and all of the tinting should come with life time warrenty
