Auction question
Anyone have any idea why a dealer (non mb) would buy a w211 at Manheim auction one month, and 3 months later sell and buy it back at the same auction?
The only reason I can think of, is an accounting write off, if he bought it back substantially lower than what he paid for it the first time.
Never saw this before, so I'm curiouis what your thoughts on this may be?

He might have had it listed online and sold it from his site after selling it at auction - then he would have to buy it back to close the deal? Wild guess, but just thought I'd throw something out there as a possible answer.

I should have mentioned that he still has it for sale on his site and on AutoTrader. Also that he lists the mileage @ 14k when Carfax shows it @ 27k.
Older Carfax showed the mileage at 14k when purchased at the first auction. So, in 3 months he managed to put almost 13k miles on the car.
That's some traveling/driving dealer

no they dont....my buddy goes there...they need like 50%-75% up front and rest you can fianance through manheim...makes sense to me since the auction got half their money they would sell it for cheaper
